I am back after a couple weeks break while I moved and got settled into a new location. On this episode I have decided to share some information and explanation on the last 4 limbs of the 8 limbs of yoga.
If you have a consistent or even semi-consistent yoga and/or meditation practice, it is likely you have at least heard of the “8 Limbs of Yoga” passed down from Patanjali. These 8 limbs being: the yamas, the niyamas, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana & samadhi. Together these 8 limbs constitute the path of Raja Yoga (self-discipline and practice).
All of the 8 limbs contribute to and directly affect the ultimate goal of the practice—samadhi—but only the last few directly relate to meditation. Here we are going to go over the last 4 limbs and discuss the importance and concept of each one, as they can be difficult to understand to a certain degree.
Please leave a review on iTunes if you happen to enjoy this episode, helps me reach more people and spread the practice of meditation.
I truly appreciate each and every one of you who listen to and take something away from this podcast. Until next time and with love, namaste.
