It’s a common misconception in meditation that we are to simply shut off the mind, still all thoughts. Thoughts are not the enemy. The minds sole purpose is to think and it will continue to do so. We aim to focus that thinking in a single direction. Some days that will be easier than others. That is a commonality for all of us in meditation. Whether this is your first or one thousandth time meditating, know you are not alone in this and we are all with you. We are walking our mind towards the inner quiet.
