Japa Meditation "AUM"

Today we are working with the mantra “AUM” for a japa style meditation practice. AUM is a combination of three primal sounds that are said to contain all of creation. A, the sound of Vishnu the preserver, U, the sound of Brahma the creator and M, the sound of Shiva the destroyer. Quoting my Becoming Balance training, "The yogis tell us that creation is a complex reverberation of energy. This energy, oscillating in different ways, is why we are able to experience so much variation within creation. An intelligent amalgamation of sound is the true nature of existence; and the root sound for this intelligent amalgamation. Is the sound AUM."
